Royal Mail learner is one of the first to complete the new Procurement Apprenticeship and receive a Distinction Grade from CIPS.

The Apprentice Academy is very proud to announce, that one of our first learners to complete the Level 4 Procurement and Supply Chain Apprenticeship, is Joy Blank from Royal Mail Group.

Joy works as an Assistant Procurement Manager at Royal Mail Group and is responsible for the development and implementation of innovative sourcing plans, to deliver business benefits, across a range of spend and contract areas.

Joy has worked incredibly hard and her dedication has been recognised with a Distinction grade, awarded by CIPS, who are the End Point Assessment organisation. Many congratulations to Joy and all those who supported her on this learning journey.

We asked Joy to share her thoughts, now she has completed her Apprenticeship. Joy told us ‘When I was offered the chance to study Level 4 via an Apprenticeship, funded by Royal Mail, I jumped at the chance; receiving my results and passing each CIPS exam first time, gave me a great sense of achievement and validation that the effort exerted during revision was worth it. ‘My coach and tutor really supported me throughout the programme, which gave me the confidence to give it my all.’

Joy’s coach, Tara Pearson said ‘It was a pleasure to work with Joy. Joy showed passion, dedication and commitment throughout the End Point Assessment process, taking on board advice, showcasing her knowledge and applying everything she had learnt throughout the Apprenticeship to her role at Royal Mail Group. I’m so pleased to see her achieve a well deserved Distinction!’

Helen Wilber FCIPS, Director of Contract Management at Royal Mail Group said ‘Joy has been an exceptional student and at her final assessment, she showcased a brilliant piece of procurement activity that she had led. I had the privilege of being on the final panel as the Technical Expert, so was able to experience Joy’s performance first-hand – a very proud moment.’
