A key feature The Apprentice Academy look for when placing young people in Apprenticeships in Manchester is how well the young person will fit into the organisation. It’s all about culture, environment and a like-minded team. Our Apprentices at Dentsu Aegis‘ Manchester office know the full extent of this.
Working for an international media agency must sound extremely daunting for an 18 year old Apprentice with little experience of the advertising industry, but the young team at Dentsu have to hit the ground running. Many Apprentice manage online accounts and ads for some of the biggest companies in the world within the first 6 months of their Apprenticeship which in our opinion is quite a feat. But like we say, it’s all about culture and working for such an organisation definitely pays off. We spoke to Apprentices Harry, Beth and Tom as well as the Internal Recruitment Manager Becky about what it’s like as an Apprentice at Dentsu Aegis and why Apprenticeships are so attractive to the business.
With over 15 Apprentices now working in their Manchester office, Dentsu Aegis is paving the way for larger creative agencies utilising Apprenticeships. More and more organisations are seeing the value in Apprentices as a means of shaping their workforce and developing future talent and many are following Dentsu’s lead.
With many of their team starting their Apprenticeships in Manchester and moving in to full time positions, this is an organisation that invests and believes in its ever growing workforce. Summer 2018 also promises to be an exciting time for Dentsu, with 10 new vacancies coming live for young people to develop their skills whilst gaining a qualification and getting a wage.
