Fast Track Procurement Level 3 & 4 Apprenticeship

Who is the programme for?

This is a 3 year ‘fast track’ apprenticeship development programme, designed specifically for new employees starting a career in procurement with no prior experience of buying goods or services. The structure of the learning is all online and our team of experienced CIPS qualified coaches and CIPS trainers will support learners throughout the 3-year journey, to develop their procurement capabilities, and achieve an internationally recognised qualification in procurement and supply chain. This programme combines learning from two apprenticeships and includes the CIPS level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.

Costs and funding

Employers paying the apprenticeship levy can use their funds to pay for this programme.

Smaller organisations with an annual payroll bill of less than £3 million per year will need to contribute 5% towards the cost of the apprenticeship for employees aged 22 +. The government will cover 100% of the cost for employees aged 16-21 (New mandate from 1st April 2024).

Eligibility criteria for employees to do an Apprenticeship:

  • The employee must be aged 16 or above (there is no upper age limit)
  • The employee can work full or part time hours
  • The employee works for a company in England
  • The employee spends > 50% of their time working in England (remote and hybrid workers included)
  • The employee has some gaps in their knowledge and skill that relates to their occupational role
  • The employee has the right to work in England
  • The employee has spent the last 3 years living in England
