L3 – Data Insight / Junior Data Analyst Apprenticeship

This Level 3 Data Apprenticeship is for employees, who are about to start a new role in data analysis, or for employees who already work in data and want to develop their knowledge and skills further. Employees may work in a variety of departments including Sales, Customer Service, HR, Operations, Finance, Marketing or Procurement.

On completion of the programme, employees will be able to manipulate data, identify new patterns and trends, and present data in a visual way that supports decision making, problem solving and continuous improvement.

Job titles suitable for this development programme include the following:

Junior Data Analyst, Junior Information Analyst, Junior Data Scientist, Junior Data Engineer, Data Support Analyst, Data Practitioner, Data Technician, Data Co-Ordinator, Pricing Co-Ordinator, Buyers, Planners, Customer insight Analysts or Departmental Administrators working in Sales, Customer Service, HR, Operations, Finance, Marketing or Procurement.

L4 – Data Analyst Apprenticeship

This Level 4 Data Apprenticeship is for employees who already work in a data occupation and want to develop their knowledge and skill to a higher more technical level.

To meet the eligibly criteria, learners should already be using data research to solve business problems and must be competent at using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.

Upon completion of the programme, employees will be able to manipulate data to an advanced level, identify new patterns and trends, and present data in a visual way that supports decision making, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Job titles suitable for this development programme include the following:

Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Pricing Analyst, Data Specialist, Data Engineer, Data Modeller, Estimators or Planners, Reporting Analyst, Performance Analyst, Customer Insight Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Management Information Analyst or Data Manager.

Learner Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be working in a company with an office address in England OR
  • Spending > 50% of their time working in England
  • Work > 30 hours per week
  • Have the right to work in England
  • Be aged 16 or above (No upper age limit)
  • Not have a higher qualification in the same subject area as the apprenticeship they wish to commence

Funding

Employers paying the apprenticeship levy can use their funds to pay for these programmes. Smaller organisations with an annual payroll bill of less than £3 million per year, benefit from receiving 95% of the costs paid for by the government.
