Who the Level 4 AI Apprenticeship is for
The Level 4 Artificial intelligence and Automation Practitioner Apprenticeship is for employees who want to:
- Understand how to identify AI opportunities to enhance personal and business productivity
- Acquire the knowledge and skill to confidently use AI tools & applications to improve business processes.
For leaders and managers who want to upskill over a shorter duration, we recommend our AI Strategy & Opportunity Apprenticeship Unit course, which is just 8 weeks long and is 100% funded for non-levy payers. Larger organisations can use their levy funds.

How much does the Level 4 AI Apprenticeship cost employers?
The funding band for this programme is £18,000.
How long does this apprenticeship take to complete?
12 to 15 months
Can employees enrol on this apprenticeship if they have already done an apprenticeship?
Yes they can. If an employee takes on new responsibilities as part of their role or moves into a new occupation that requires new knowledge and skill, then they can commence a new Apprenticeship at the same level or lower.
Do you have to do Maths & English as part of this Apprenticeship?
No. Learners aged 19 + are not required to study Maths and English (regardless of previous grades), but do have the option to study and sit these additional qualifications, if they want to. Learners who are aged 16-18 must study Maths and English Functional Skills as part of their Apprenticeship (only if they do not already have the minimum grades specified in the eligibility criteria).
