Who is this short, funded course for?
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy & Opportunity Apprenticeship Unit is the first in a suite of 3 AI Apprenticeship Units designed for senior managers, leaders or employees responsible for making AI decisions for their organisation. Costs and funding
Employers paying the apprenticeship levy can use their funds to pay for this programme. If levy funds have been fully utilised then the government will pay 95% of the cost. The employer will then need to make a 5% contribution.
Smaller organisations with an annual payroll bill of less than £3 million per year benefit from 100% government funding regardless of learner age.
Eligibility criteria for employees to do this Apprenticeship Unit:
- The employee must be working in or transitioning into a role with autonomy to deliver AI technological change and inform AI investment decisions. Example roles would include Senior Managers, Department Heads, Compliance Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Governance Officers or anyone tasked with leading on AI Transformation and Change.
- The employee has a line manager i.e. they are not a Managing Director or person of significant control.
- The employee must not already have 50% or more of the knowledge and skills outlined in the apprenticeship unit.
- The employee works for a company in England and spends at least 50% of their working hours in England.
- The employee has the right to work in England and has spent the last 3 years living in England.
- The employee must not be working under IR35.
