Training and support – to help you achieve success

  • Apprentices attend a two-day skills and personality assessment so we can accurately match them to the right role.
  • Apprentices attend a three-day induction bootcamp so they are prepared for the transition into the workplace.
  • We deliver an effective management training programme to prepare managers for apprentice success.
  • A series of onboarding services helps you effectively integrate your new apprentice into the workplace, so they become productive as quickly as possible.
  • Apprentices attend ongoing professional development masterclasses to further develop their 21st century skills, knowledge and expertise.
  • Our career coach provides both you and apprentices with ongoing support and will conduct workplace reviews every eight weeks to monitor progress and ensure apprentices are achieving their objectives.
  • A counselling service is available to provide additional support if needed.

On completion of the Foundation Level your apprentice will be able to:

  • Understand the basics of bookkeeping and costings.
  • Process payments and receipts.
  • Prepare invoices.
  • Complete bank reconciliations.
  • Undertake basic costings and be familiar with computerised accounts.

On completion of the Advanced Level your apprentice will be able to:

  • Make provisions for doubtful and irrecoverable debts.
  • Reconcile ledgers with the cashbook.
  • Understand the importance of accounting ethics.
  • Analyse variances and use spreadsheets to manage financial information.

On completion of the Professional Level your apprentice will be able to:

  • Draft and interpret company financial statements.
  • Prepare forecasts of income and expenditure.
  • Draft and manage budgets.
  • Report variances.
  • Identify risks and make recommendations for improvements.

Entry requirements

Predicted (or have achieved) 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) Grades A* – C, two must be in English and Maths (or equivalent). If you have completed an AS Level in Accounting you could gain direct entry to Level Three. You will also need to pass our assessment process, which we will tell you more about once you apply.
